WHAT WE DO

BLOOD SERVICES

The PRC provides comprehensive blood services, which include donor recruitment, collection and storage of volunteer-sourced blood, as well as testing, processing and dispensing of safe, quality blood to hospitals in accordance with the provisions of R.A 7719.

SAFETY SERVICES

Safety Services is tasked with the promotion of a nationwide educational campaign to ensure the health and safety of the Filipino people through trainings on first aid, basic life support, water safety, accident prevention and other rescue courses. It also renders first aid, ambulance, beach patrol, lifeguarding and basic rescue services.

HEALTH SERVICES

The Health Services reaches out to target communities through basic health care programs. It gives priority attention to the vulnerable groups by utilizing intensive trainings as its main strategy in the implementation of its community programs. This is in line with its mission of improving the health situation of the most vulnerable population.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT SERVICE

The roles of the Disaster Management Services are to provide relief in times of disasters and to institute measures to minimize the sufferings caused by them. Disaster preparedness is one of the major components of DMS and it aims to prepare vulnerable communities against calamities.

WELFARE SERVICES

Welfare Services is responsive to the changing needs of the people and deliver these services with accentuated genuine concern and with human touch. It delivers services to the most vulnerable in partnership with the government while complementing each other in their areas of competence.

 RED CROSS YOUTH

The Red Cross Youth (RCY) aims to educate and empower the children and youth in the spirit of Red Cross through trainings that include effective leadership, provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energy and idealism into worthwhile humanitarian activities.

VOLUNTEER SERVICE

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the organization. They play an essential role in supporting their communities throughout the world. The Red Cross 143 program aims to promote a culture of self-help in schools, workplaces and communities by developing a formidable network of Red Cross volunteers who will prepare for and respond to disasters and strengthen the PRC at community level.

EPIC DRRM PROJECT

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the consolidation and implementation of the Philippine institutional and operational framework for disaster risk reduction and to strengthen the resilience of local communities through meaningful partnership toward effective disaster risk reduction implementation in the country’s most vulnerable communities.

INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW

The IHL Office regularly conducts orientation sessions about the Red Cross Movement, its fundamental principles and activities, and the basics of IHL.
